"Great attitudes for the win"

Yesterday, our 9/10 girls basketball team went against Western Debuque, a team we haven't faced before. Some players said that they were a bit nervous. The scores ended up being quite close for most of the game. After the forth period we were tied 33-33, leading us into overtime. One of our players, Leyla Grawe, wasn't so happy with how the game was turning out. She didn't feel that they put as much energy into the game as they usually do, but when asked how she felt about going into overtime she said "we figured out what we needed to do."  With great defense, Western Debuque wasn't able to score anymore points.  In the end, we defeated them with a score of 37-33. Leyla's mom said, "I was nervous at the end, but we pulled it off."
